On April 28, 2009, Meishi celebrated the authorization of the International Baccalaureate. We invited more than 200 people, including Mr. Fu Yong-Lin, Vice-Mayor of Chengdu, Mr. Ma Jian-yi, President of Meishi Group, Ms. Wang Hong, IB representative of China, the Meishi advisors, and VIPs from Consulates and Business Chambers; all came to celebrate the ‘Authorization’ with us.
Speeches were made by Ms. Grace Chen, the Executive Director of CMIS, Ms. Wang Hong, the IB representative of China, Mr. Goodman, the Principal of Meishi International Programs, Mr. Ma, the President of Meishi Group, an education governor, and Cecelia Chen, a Meishi IB student.
Meishi Middle School Chorus performed “See the Half Moon Climbing” and other students performed multi-cultural dances. After that, all of us enjoyed an international cuisine with drinks and nice background music.
It was an unforgettable moment on Meishi campus. Meishi is now a member of International Baccalaureate (I.B.) World Schools, whose aim is to develop internationally minded people who recognize their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet while helping to create a better and more peaceful world.
